Every baby deserves the best. Choosing the right diaper from the start goes a long way to ensure that your baby stays comfortable while playing or sleeping. Remember that your baby’s skin is only  half as thick as an adult’s which makes it so sensitive. This is why you need a diaper that is gentle on your baby’s skin. Pant-type diapers do not have hard and sticky tapes which may cause rashes or redness on your baby’s sensitive skin.

The right diaper checklist
:

Cottony soft texture: Examine the material for cloth-like feel, softness and breathability to ensure your baby’s delicate skin stays safe.

Self-adjustability: Just like adults, even a baby’s tummy expands post each feed and contracts afterwards. While tape-type diapers may need to be adjusted accordingly to ensure your baby’s ease, a
pant-type diaper having an all-round elastic wide band does not need any adjustment.
Convenience: Pant-type diapers are easy to wear; simply pull them up like pants. Also, they are easy to remove by just tearing the sides. So, you or anyone in the family can easily change your baby’s diaper in any position.
Good fit without gaps: Pick a size according to your baby’s weight. Check if it ts your baby at the waist and leg openings. It should neither be too loose, which leads to leakage, nor too tight, which would cause discomfort to the baby. A good tting diaper is one which has a soft elastic band all around the waist area. Avoid the ones which have elastic only on some portion of the waist.

You must consider these points before choosing a diaper brand. The ones that hospitals use or that your best friends prefer aren’t necessarily the best choice for your baby.

Pooja Naithani, mum to Tanchuna, four months, Mumbai

“I am so glad that I found MamyPoko Pants size Small for Tanchuna. She is just four months old but loves kicking around actively, especially during diaper change. This used to make it tough for me to change her diaper and put the tapes properly, eventually making it uncomfortable for her. Ever since I switched to pant-style diapers both of us are happy! They are so convenient for me - easy to put on in any position and she can play around without any disturbance. Even after she soils it, I just have to tear the sides to take it o. Only after using MamyPoko Pants I realised that removing it is so simple.”

Neha Tagra, mum to Dhwani, three and a half months, Bengaluru

“Dhwani is my rst baby. I started with the regular small-size tape diaper but the hard and sticky tapes kept rubbing against her tummy and I think that’s what caused a lot of redness and rashes on her soft skin. Then my friend advised me to try MamyPoko Pants in size Small. I thank my friend because after that day Dhwani did not have to go through the agony of rashes and irritation and she stays happy now.”

Divya Khulbe, mum to Ayenesh, three months, Delhi

“Recently, my husband bought a big pack of MamyPoko Pants (instead of the regular tape diapers we had been using). Being a premium high quality Japanese brand, I was under the impression that it is expensive but was pleasantly surprised to find out that it is just Rs 11 per diaper. I have stuck to them ever since… they are easy to put on and easy on my pocket too!”
